Training

School failed me, and I failed the school. It bored me. The teachers behaved like Feldwebel (sergeants). I wanted to learn what I wanted to know, but they wanted me to learn for the exam. What I hated most was the competitive system there, and especially sports. Because of this, I wasn’t worth anything, and several times they suggested I leave. This was a Catholic School in Munich. I felt that my thirst for knowledge was being strangled by my teachers; grades were their only measurement. How can a teacher understand youth with such a system?

One to One Pupil Training

The “Monster Inside One to One Training” is a programme designed to adapt to the individual needs of children & young people with challenging behaviour. It is based around teaching the child how to make informed choices and to learn how to manage their behaviour. Delivered in a school setting as follows:

  • An observation within the school setting lasting 45 – 60 minutes
  • Five weeks of One to One sessions with the child lasting 45 – 60 minutes
  • Part one of the session will take place outside the classroom lasting 20 – 30 minutes
  • Part two of the session will take place in the classroom with Addup staff lasting 20 – 30 minutes

Staff working with the child will complete reports each week which the school will receive at the end of the programme. Staff will offer strategies and ideas and a follow up meeting after 6 weeks will be arranged to see how the strategies are working and if there needs to be any adjustments.

It is important to know that the staff will write their reports based on conversations between the child and themselves and within the reports there may be things said by the child about the school or the staff.

Should you require any additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact the office.
