For parents and families of children with Special Needs living in Havering.

Do you sometimes feel like you are going round in circles?
Would you like to talk things through with someone safely and confidentially?
You may want to talk about how you have been feeling since finding out a child in your family has special needs. You may want to talk about other issues that are not necessarily connected. Counselling gives you the time to focus on what is going on in your life. A safe space which is for you and you alone. A counsellor will not judge you but will work with you to help you find your own answers.

The Counselling Service is available to Havering parents and family members where there is a child with special needs. The term special needs relates to physical, sensory, learning or emotional difficulties. Please do not hesitate to contact the Counsellor should you have any queries with regard to eligibility for this service.

They encourage the development of self-advocacy skills amongst children and young people with Down's syndrome, and their parents and carers.
